Monkey Lizards is an indie folk rock band from Livermore California formed by singer-songwriter John Thayer, bassist Olsen Miguel Baez, drummer Brian Surano, and multi-instrumentalist, Richard Hibbs. Their songs tell the stories of heroes, monsters, zombies, magic bus rides, and regular people looking for love in the face of oblivion. Since starting to play together in 2016, they have self-released three original albums. Their current album, "What Scales With Sky," is a collection of folk songs so big, that not even the atmosphere can contain them.
See them live at Almost Famous Wine Lounge, an award-winning, new tasting room and venue located on Vasco Road in the heart of Livermore's wine, spirits and brewery district. Almost Famous Wine makes fifteen wines in diverse styles, and earned 32 top industry awards since our debut last year.
