New Orleans piano great Jon Cleary and his celebrated band, the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, have been praised by Rolling Stone for their infectious combination of swinging keyboard melodies, moody 70s soul vocals, and spunky R&B rhythms. Cleary’s mastery of the New Orleans piano style first landed him gigs playing with local legends like Earl King, Snooks Eaglin, and many more. His dizzying career has included on-stage performances and studio recordings with a veritable who’s who of the business: John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton, Keb-Mo, Ryan Adams, Dr John, Allen Toussaint, Brian May, Maria Muldaur, Ike Turner, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Irma Thomas, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, John Scofield… and the list goes on and on. In 2016, Cleary released Go Go Juice to critical acclaim, which went on to earn him his first GRAMMY.
