In a career spanning three decades, James Hunter has evolved from a railway worker and London busker to a globally acclaimed rhythm & soul artist. Recognized with a GRAMMY® nomination for "Best Traditional Blues Album" and an American Music Award for "Best New/Emerging Artist" by 2006, his discography boasts critically-lauded albums, including "The Hard Way" and "Whatever it Takes" from Daptone Records. MOJO magazine honored him as “The United Kingdom’s Greatest Soul Singer” by 2016. The James Hunter Six's 2020 album "Nick of Time," showcased his versatile songwriting, and their 2022 release "With Love" illuminated overlooked gems in their repertoire. Early in his career, Hunter collaborated with Van Morrison and later opened for legends like Aretha Franklin, Tom Petty and Willie Nelson, firmly establishing himself as a formidable talent in the music world.
