Celebrated singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo has been a genre-defying staple in the music industry, with a rich career spanning punk, roots rock, and alt-country. Born into a musically gifted family that includes jazz artist Pete Escovedo and pop star Sheila E., Alejandro began his journey in bands like the Nuns, Rank & File, and True Believers. His solo career took off in 1992 with the album "Gravity" and has been marked by collaborations with REM, John Cale and Bruce Springsteen. Notable releases include the 2001 critically-acclaimed album "A Man Under the Influence" and 2018's "The Crossing," which featured guest appearances from Wayne Kramer and James Williamson.
